When will Nomad upgrade to 12.2?
It looks like NomadBSD updated to FreeBSD 12.1 within a month after it was released. Since FreeBSD 12.2 was release at the end of October, I think it will be likely that the creators of NomadBSD will try to upgrade the distribution to FreeBSD 12.2 on this next coming release which should be out this month. I’m looking forward to it.
We will release an RC version of NomadBSD 1.4 very soon. It will be based on FreeBSD 12.2.
Maybe desirable to wait until after this FreeBSD bug is fixed:
- 251866 – Because the loader.efi modified the size of EFI_STAGING_SIZE, vmware could not start the system above FreeBSD 12.2
Symptom: https://i.imgur.com/RnocF9g.png and re: https://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-current/2020-December/077972.html it is not limited to virtual machines.
The error you mention seems only to be in 13, not in 12.2. So we’re clear to start a build on 12.2.
Sorry, I could include no more than two links in my previous post.
Not fixed; in progress.
