Hi,

i face a problem similar to Judd’s Screen Resolution 1920x1080 is not supported

The solution may be to disable initgfx in /etc/rc.conf and providing a proper 00-video-initgfx.conf.

What should be the latter file like to use the i915kms driver which seems to be the right one ?

If you are disabling initgfx in rc.conf you could probably follow this guys post:

I’m not sure which exact CPU/GPU configuration you have but that does a good job of explaining it. He explains how to find out what driver to use and how to set it to use the proper one. I hope it helps.
