You promised a new version of NomadBSD based on FreeBSD 14.3 (which was the latest release at the time I asked, but had already been out long before my request). Now FreeBSD 15.0 has been released, and we are still stuck at 141R-20240711.

I believe they need the time it takes with no hurry, they do it for free after all, can just hope will carry on mantaining the project. 14.1 is working fine enough and turns the FreeBSD in a more user-friendly and portable system.

Yes, it’s free soft and passion for the best stuff. The version is working fine so we don’t have to worry.

A new release would be nice 
But while you are waiting, it is actually possible to update your NomadBSD to use FreeBSD 14.3 under the hood!
Take a ‘boot environment’ snapshot and use the documentation on the FreeBSD.org website.
If at first it fails, you can roll back to the snapshot you took before the update and try again 
If my memory serves me correctly, only the update from 14.2 to 14.3 took 2 tries because of qt version change…
DON’T be discouraged! It’s a learning opportunity

You can update in only ONE step - directly to 14.3
I updated in several steps every time a new release was available. Learning in small steps…
