Ordinary people who use NomadBSD at home PC or on a travel laptop may be interested in his system information as a graphical user interface.
I have installed 0.3 MiB neofetch for general sysinfo in pseudo-graphics (colored text). There is also another 0.7 MiB comand-line utility smartctl, called S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) for reviewing and health testing of HDD, SSD, USB media drives, yet CLI control is too complex for me.
So I installed 1.7 MiB GSmartControl — the comprehensive GUI panel for smart
, smartd
, and smartctl
. Some of screenshots are exposed online. Both gsmartcontrol
and smartmontools
are available via Octopkg — the nice GUI to manage packages in NomadBSD.
Thanx devs!
