Hi,
Welcome among us.
I advise you to read the Freebsd hanbook.
There is the information you need.
It’s in this link .

If you don’t find the answer call me back.
It’s a story about making some pkg non grata.
:cowboy_hat_face:

Ok will do i installed abiword but lost Firefox in the process, on reboot i cannot login tried nomad for the username and my password but nogo.previous login went straight through.

It’s not reinstall it’s an upgrade. Sometimes because library deps.
can you do
$ du
and watch / %

Do you mean type in at the failed login screen, can’t get it to accept my password

Yes I mean type df on a term.
Did you install other soft .
Because the disk can be full in / after that it’s impossible to make it run.
That happend to me too. that why I tell you if you can type df
and watch the free space in /
sh-3.2$ df

Hi i couldn’t log back in, when i checked the usb stick there were hardly any files on it.
I’m not sure what I have done but it will be easier to reinstall and not try and install extra software.
Thanks again
Paul

type df in a shell when you have finish the install.
And look at / how many space do you have in this directory.
You can use online word processor that will not cause pb

So you must be carefull with
/dev/md0.uzip 6.7G 6.3G 428M 94% /unionfs/usr/local
Only 6% free. That the only pb.
It’s good.

Hi is it possible for me to increase the folder size.

It’s a big probleme.

me it’s 98% on /
and 94% on /unionfs/usr/local
I have all the soft I need so it’s not so dangerous.
but I will look for a solution like a link.
Do you browse now with your phone ?

Phone browse wifi, 4g poor here so only use for urgent calls and on pay as you go contract not unlimited

Hi i have been using the two versions ufs and zfs to test speed etc.
DF on this ufs. is same
/dev/md0.uzip 7003228 6565136 438092 94% /unionfs/usr/local
unionfs 33556276 9502060 21929976 30% /usr/local

could the readings be normal, it would be interesting what other users are showing

I ask to make the system file more bigger on /.
Do you do the test about your hardware ?
I have post a message with the link.
Have a nice Day !
