HP Device Manager refuses to start

Trying to connect my computer with my HP Laser Jet Pro M454dw printer. The printer is apparently HPLIP compatible, however in Linux, no driver or setup has been demanded as it is detected and works out of the box. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case in FreeBSD. With the latest version of NomadBSD, i have tried running both # hp-setup -i IP address and using CUPS socket://IP address:9100, both of which prompt me for a model (mine isn’t listed) or PPD file (which I am led to believe does not exist). When trying to run HP Device Manager from the Utility submenu, nothing happens… This leaves me out of options, and wondering what to do. Any advice?

Try to add and configure the printer via CUPS (http://localhost:631/admin), and select the HP Color Laserjet Pro M453-4 Postscript driver, albeit it doesn’t match 100%.
